Our Story
We're Marina and Micaella, the mother-daughter duo behind Wild Wawa. For as long as we can remember, creativity has been at the heart of everything we do. In February 2015, while Micaella was living in Brazil with her husband due to a job assignment, she welcomed her baby girl, Valentina. Marina, living in Peru, visited as often as possible. It was during one of these visits, amidst the long days of caring for a newborn and the spark of new inspiration, that we decided to combine our talents and start a children's clothing brand: Wild Wawa.
The name is a nod to our Peruvian heritage and our tiny muse, Valentina. 'Wawa' means baby in Quechua, the native language spoken in the Andean highlands of Peru. And with the whirlwind that comes with life as a new mom, "Wild Wawa" felt like the perfect name—a celebration of the beautiful, wild adventure of motherhood and childhood.

Whether it's our top-quality fabrics sourced from our home country of Peru, our custom-drawn prints, or the handcrafted details that capture the timeless beauty of artisan craftsmanship, our goal is to create uniquely beautiful garments for your little ones—pieces made to celebrate childhood memories and mark life's special milestones.
Everything is handmade in Lima, Peru
We are proud to work with a small team of incredibly talented women and artisans, all based in Lima, Peru. Marina, a veteran in the children’s apparel industry, started her first clothing line—Victoria Kids—over twenty years ago. Many of the women we collaborate with today have been with us since those early days, making our work together a true labor of love built on long-standing relationships and shared passion.
Our hope is that each Wild Wawa garment becomes an heirloom, passed down through your families for generations to come. We put so much love into every piece, from the first spark of an idea to the intricate hand-stitched details and careful construction. It's our heartfelt wish that these pieces are as cherished as they are lovingly made.
